Information: Internships Abroad

Doing an internship abroad is an increasingly sought-after professional experience that is becoming compulsory in a growing number of study programmes, in several European countries of course, but also more recently on other continents.

Because completing an internship in a foreign country provides an even more enriching experience than doing an internship in your own home country. This is something that many schools, in almost all fields of higher education today, have understood by requiring their students to complete at least one internship abroad, or even two, before graduating.

Here are the main benefits of an internship abroad: learning a new way of working (different from the one you will find in your home country), improving/perfecting your level in a foreign language or even several if your internship requires the mastery of multiple languages, important cultural and professional exchange, discovery of a new country, creation of an international professional network,…

Employers are extremely interested in young graduates who have had one or more internship experiences abroad. The “internship abroad” effect on your CV and professional career is very real and is amplified compared to an equivalent internship done “at home”. It is common for a person we place to be hired in their home country right after completing their internship abroad, and we have also had dozens of cases of local employers who hired their foreign intern at the end of their internship period.

We are currently able to find internships in 5 countries and in a very large number of fields of activity in order to meet the maximum needs of employers and candidates wishing to do an internship abroad. Even if the internship is often linked to a study programme, please note that it is entirely possible in several countries to do an internship without having student status.

While internships exist in every country where we make placements, the legal framework and the way employers view internships are noticeably different from one country to another. There are real cultural differences, as is the case in the working world of each country.
