Service Information
After some twenty years of significant economic boom when Spain joined the EU (European Union), the country suffered the effects of severe economic crises, more so than certain other major European countries. However, for several years now, Spain has consistently been at the forefront or leading in terms of growth in Europe, with most economic indicators in the green. Unemployment has fallen spectacularly in recent years and has now reached figures that Spain has rarely seen. Another example of a true “remontada” (comeback).
Many economic sectors are currently dynamic in Spain and are recruiting, particularly in the country’s major cities (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, etc.) and in economically advanced regions.
The Tourism/Hotel industry has long been major in this sunny country, which welcomes one of the largest numbers of tourists in the world each year. It therefore offers very interesting opportunities. However, the fast-growing Tech and IT sectors in Spain, fashion, healthcare, logistics/transport, finance, and even education are buoyant, and needs are often significant.
The rapid aging of the population in this southern European country increases the volume of employment opportunities for foreign workers.
